• Try to find as much information as you can about country and town from where your foreign bride.

• Find private hotel in this town. It must be in the center of town or not far from center of it. Only private hotel can be safe in the country of former USSR. Prices of these hotels are not much more than in the government's hotels.

• Try to get trip from your country to the town where your bride lives directly. If you cannot to do it - take only plane if possible trip. Do not buy tickets on the train or bus. You can be robed and even killed by the criminals. A person in the former USSR thinking is that you have much money if you are from former country.

• Don't take with you cash more as $300USA. You can take money from your credit card in any bank or ATM machines. Remember that you need to have on your card only dollars of USA or Euro. You will not have any problems to getting money. You can get other currency too but not in all towns and not in each bank. However, remember that using ATM machines dangerous too. You will take risk with it too. Therefore, you have to make your own decision - take cash or credit card with you.

• Try to find hotel and restaurants when you can pay by your card. It will be easy to you. However, as for prices - it will be much more as you pay by credit card, because people from the former USSR prefer to get cash.

• Take taxi when you are seeing the town or to the other towns

• Don't open your purse when many people around you. Do not show them money inside it and your cards. It can be very dangerous for you.

• Don't eat at the small caffes on the streets.

• Don't take water for drink from the facets in hotels or other places. It is very dangerous for your health. Take water only from the bottles.

• Don't speak in English in the official departments - price for you can be more because you are foreign very quickly.

• Don't speak in English much in the place where many people around you - it can be dangerous for you and your bride.

• Don't swimming in the Black Sea - it's very dirty and can be very dangerous for your health. It's same situation for all rivers and lakes.

• Don't rent car, because you will have many problems with road police and this car can be stolen. You'll lose much money for it and your holiday will be ruined. It is much easier and safer to use taxi.

Well - what more can I say? Will be much better if you can find woman, which you believe in. She knows the rules and "hidden" rules in her country very good and she can protect you. This is no joke. Trip to the countries of former USSR can be very good and also very bad for you. You must be very careful and stay there only time in which you are really need. Remember police will not save you as in your country. If you have, any problems call to the embassy of your country and ask help from them. Only the embassy can really help you.
